Winesong 2025 Art and Artist of the Year

Ryan Grossman is an oil painter whose work moves between the real and the surreal. What began as an exploration of memory and emotion through scenes of the Pacific Northwest where he grew up has evolved into a more symbolic and narrative approach. His paintings often suggest a larger story just beneath the surface—one shaped as much by feeling and atmosphere as by place. Ryan studied painting at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and moved to the Mendocino coast in 2015.
