Mendocino Coast Healthcare Foundation grants support our mission by providing critical funds for technology, equipment, and tools, as well as providing for the individual needs of healthcare workers and patients. In order to best serve our community and fulfill our mission, MCHFoundation provides grants to a diverse set of health and wellness entities that serve our district.
Historically, the MCHFoundation funded grants solely for the coastal hospital. As the needs of our community have grown, the diversity of health providers have multiplied to better serve residents and visitors. MCHFoundation is building community among these entities through engagement, volunteerism and direct grants.
The Grants program was made possible by the vision and direction of the MCHFoundation Board of Directors, in their determination to make a greater impact by partnering with a multitude of healthcare organizations within our beloved Mendocino Coast healthcare district.
MCHFoundation grants, in tandem with the launch of the All In for Nurses Initiative, provided responsive funds to improve current and future health outcomes on the Mendocino Coast.
To discuss a funding request, please send a Letter of Inquiry describing your Organization and Project to MCHFoundation at email@example.com. LOI’s are reviewed on an ongoing basis by our Programs and Grants Committee. Thank you for your interest!

2021 Impact Report Lives Touched
The Mendocino Coast Healthcare Foundation invests in our community by funding essential healthcare initiatives that our hospitals and clinics struggle to afford.
Our families, neighbors and visitors all benefit from the ongoing support the MCHFoundation provides through grants and volunteerism. From the new ambulances, to the rapid testing machine or helping those diagnosed with critical illnesses pay for their treatments, our supporters’ generosity is making a real difference in people’s lives.
MCHFoundation has built a reputation for funding projects that bring comfort and respite to patients and their families, as well as ensuring critical technology is accessible and present in our coastal healthcare facilities.
After decades of focused initiatives within the Mendocino Coast District Hospital, MCHFoundation is touching more lives by developing partnerships with other healthcare nonprofits and coastal clinics. By supporting their ability to provide expanded care and address core needs, the Mendocino Coast will maintain itself as a place of health and wellness for everyone.
As unforeseen healthcare needs arise, such as a pandemic, it is critical that the Mendocino Coast Healthcare Foundation adapts to meet the challenges our community faces. In 2020-2021, MCHFoundation invested in our healthcare community by funding a diverse set of needs related to COVID-19:
• Ventilators to treat COVID patients at the Hospital
• Ambulance Upgrades, PPE, Diagnostic Equipment for First Responders
• Critical technology and equipment which allows patients to remotely communicate with their healthcare providers, therapists and case managers
• Desperately needed support to uninsured/underinsured patients
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, MCHFoundation has been able to strengthen our local partnerships with additional grants, providing emergency funding to essential programs and entities, such as the Cancer Resource Center of Mendocino County to ensure that those battling cancer on the Coast have the support they need and our Volunteer Fire Departments.
