All In For Nurses
Supporting the local nurses who care for our Mendocino Coast community
As we head into the second half of this decade, rural communities across the nation are grappling with keeping clinics and hospitals open and with enough nurses and other medical staff to deliver the care we all need. As a results-driven organization, MCHFoundation is committed to finding solutions to this multi-layered challenge for our rural area along the Mendocino coast. Our impact is immediate and tangible, including support for new technology linked to telemedicine, funding scholarships for current and future nurses and other medical-related careers, addressing emerging needs like equipping first responders in law enforcement with AEDs and other direct-impact grants. Join us and become our partner in this work. Together we are showing our healthcare workers how much their community cares.
In 2021, we started our All In for Nurses Initiative which is two-pronged: (1) support the nurses we have here on the coast to aid in retaining these valuable workers, and (2) provide scholarships for local students to pursue nursing careers.
Over the past 5 years, we have recognized that people in other medical careers working on the coast or hoping to go to school and return to the coast also need our support. Consequently, in 2026, we are expanding the scholarship program beyond nurses to include other careers.
Your funding support goes to: critical funds for local students to support their expenses while studying in their medical field, professional development scholarships for our current workforce to elevate their skillsets, and so much more.
Winesong
In Celebration of Life
Each year since 1985, Winesong has been produced by MCHFoundation, as a charitable fundraising event, traditionally held in the Mendocino Botanical Gardens. Winesong is a community and has grown to be a favorite summer event for people both locally and who travel to Mendocino.
Over the years hundreds of artists, vintners, winemakers, chefs, vendors, and volunteers have come together to celebrate and donate their work, time and goods for the annual Winesong auction. The community that has formed surrounding this event, has built connections over distances and time, that continue to support and rejoice in all that we can achieve together.
